Hypnosis - To the uninformed, the very word conjures up mental images of sinister caped figures waving their arms and saying "look into my eyes."
In this course, we will attempt to dispel that image, and put Hypnosis into the right perspective.- A valuable, if not essential tool for the modern world.
This is not a medical course, but we are convinced that the techniques for hetero-hypnosis, self hypnosis and deep relaxation that you will learn during the time you are here will enrich your life and the lives of others around you.
So, take from it what you will - that which will be of benefit to you and leave behind that which is of no use to you - but above all - enjoy and prosper!
The Practical Hypnosis course lasts 12/13 weeks. (Minimum of 50 hours).
The course is based on the standard requirements and guidelines as laid down by the American Hypnotists' Association
The lectures take place once a week, from 19.00pm to approximately 22.30/23.00pm.
The Course adopts a "Hands On" approach, and by the fourth or fifth week you will be able to hypnotise your fellow students (and be hypnotised by them).
You are taught the hypnotic techniques used to stop smoking, alleviate stress, enhance memory, promote self-confidence and how to deal with various other conditions that are part of modern living.
You will also be taught how to conduct a Regression sequence, that is, to take someone back to an earlier period in his or her life or past lives.
Where possible, you will attend a live Hypnosis Stage Show.
You will be encouraged to discuss, debate and question during the course, and are assured of some lively evenings.
In addition to the Hetero-Hypnosis, you will learn the techniques used for Self-Hypnosis, which can be used to better not only YOUR life, but also the lives of those around you.
Because of the practical nature of the course, classes are limited to no more than 6 students at any one time.
Dress casually and comfortably, and bring a pen and paper to make additional notes if desired.
Course material and a self-hypnosis tape/C.D. will, however, be provided.
A Certificate of Proficiency will be issued on successful completion of the course.
This is not a medical qualification, but the subjects taken are recognised by the South African Traditional Healers Association.
